Dear Community,
Eighty five years ago (1939), you could buy a house for $3,800, a car was $848 and you could fill your tank on 10 cents a gallon.
President Roosevelt served hot dogs to King George and Queen Elizabeth, Girl Scout thin mint cookies were first baked, California had its last hurricane,
and Tri-Boro First Aid Squad was born. Times have changed, in 2023, an ambulance now costs $250,000, gas prices have soared, California experienced Hurricane Hilary, and Tri-Boro is still here.
We would not have been here to celebrate our 85 th Anniversary without the support of our communities. As a completely volunteer organization,
we rely on donations from our community members to keep us going.
Our members all come from different backgrounds, but are united in helping out neighbors when they are in need. All members have been through thorough training to be EMTs, EMRs and drivers who continue to train to have the highest skill level possible.
You see us not only at first aid calls, MVAs, or supporting our firemen on their calls, but also at town activities, sporting events, parades, graduation and other special events where our skills may be of use.
Your contributions help keep us running year after year. Donations go toward paying bills, purchasing supplies, maintaining our ambulances and building and continuing our training in emergency care.
Your donation will enable us to continue to serve the communities of Butler, Bloomingdale, and Kinnelon in many ways.
We are here to support you because you have been here to support us.
Sincerely,
Members of the Tri-Boro First Aid Squad
